IAFSB Conference Proceedings
We invite all participants to publish their oral and poster contributions as short articles. The IAFSB2015 conference proceedings will be published in a regular issue of the Journal of Applied Ichthyology prior to the 2018 conference. The entire volume is dedicated to the IAFSB 2015 conference. This will be the forth volume of a series entirely committed to fish skeletal research. World-wide, not many conferences provide the opportunity to publish all contributions in a peer-reviewed journal. The IAFSB volumes are a unique source of knowledge, data and references. They provide an excellent and comprehensive overview about the international status of in fish skeletal research. All participants of IAFSB 2015 will receive a printed copy of the IAFSB 2015 proceedings.
The Journal of Applied Ichthyology is listed in the relevant literature databases including Web of Science/Web of Knowledge and PubMed (in case of NIH funding). All manuscripts must be peer-reviewed and count as regular publications. It is the aim of the team of guest editors to facilitate the publication of submitted manuscript. We ask reviewers to return manuscript within two weeks if possible, in practice it may take longer.
What can be published?
(a) Short communications, (b) Short Original Papers*, (c) Short Reviews
*we also accept paper of regular length
We do not necessarily expect a 1:1 representation of the IAFSB 2015 contributions. For example, orally communicated latest findings that have not been published or should be published elsewhere, can be included but do not have to be included. If original data have been presented that are not complete or meant to be published elsewhere, a short review about the research subject is an excellent way to contribute. Important: Your work and your lab should be represented in the volume. Oral presentations and posters are equally treated.
Submission Deadline: January 31. 2016
Please submit your manuscripts to firstname.lastname@example.org not later than January 31. 2016. Manuscripts will be distributed among the team of guest editors. The guest editor for your subject will contact you and guide you throughout the submission process.
